UAP, EEE faculty secured a place in the "১আইডিয়াতেবাজিমাত" competition

 

"Indomitable aspirations of Youths can place the Bangladesh into a better position" highlighting this spirit into main theme a competition titled "১আইডিয়াতেবাজিমাত" arranged by Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Bangladesh on March 21, 2017 which is just finished on last month where Hon'ble State Minister Nasrul Hamid, MP, as chief guest inaugurated the program. The event is an occasion to create a bridge between the citizens, the Government and all the other energy entrepreneurs particularly youth inventors in order to raise awareness to become energy efficient, to enlighten everyone on the Government's Energy plans for the future and to inspire communication between the public and the other stakeholders – to make every Bangladeshi an integral part of the Government's vision of a brighter, more powerful Bangladesh of tomorrow.

For the purpose of participating this competition, concerned faculty and students of different universities and institutions submitted their ideas to Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources (MPEMR). From the Department of EEE, UAP an idea in the title of "Smart Charging station for Electric Vehicles (EVs) uses Solar Power" was submitted. In the initial phase of screening, based on merit and quality of innovation 100 ideas were selected where EEE project was in the short list. In the second phase, successful candidates staged their presentations and after the final round through a very stiff and intense competition 10-top breakthrough projects were selected and finalized for the awards and Alhamdulillah, it's a matter of great felicity that the idea "Smart Charging station for Electric Vehicles (EVs) using Solar Power" secured aplace out of that 10 best selections and as a token of reward the core mentor behind this Project, Mr. Muhammad Ahad Rahman Miah, Assistant Professor, EEE, UAP was handed over the certificate.

To make this project successful a whole concerted and dedicated effort was made particularly from Mr. Md. Khairul Alam, Lecturer, EEE and Mr. Md. Moshiur Rahman, Assistant Professor, EEE.
